Is PHP5 going to be supported any time soon?  On a reseller server?

Hi,

We have been looking at adding support for PHP 5 for a few months.  What has held us back is a concern that upgrading will break things.  From what we have read, upgrades to PHP5 tend to break older scripts such as PHPBB and other forum tools, mostly in regards to the database connections.   Many clients do not update their scripts to the newest versions on a regular basis so this becomes a real concern, especially on older more estabilished servers.

However, php 5 is where we need to get to.  So, in that regard we will be undertaking this upgrade later this year.  At this moment, I do not have a formal plan, but one will be coming out within the next 4 to 6 weeks.  We have a couple of other projects to complete before we start another.

Thank you for the inquiry.  Very good question.

Best Regards,

John Burns
