Hi xylus,
Lets see if I can address all of your questions:
For example, should I keep posting here or is data393 still in the picture?
Yes and No. :
Yes, they are in the picture, but only in the background. For example, they are managing the servers and doing some Tier2 work for us. It's been great because they are familiar with our configuration. However, they are out of the picture from a customer standpoint, e.g. they no longer provide direct support to you nor do they make business decisions, that's our job. We're hoping this forum will become much more active and you'll be able to get all the fun and excitement you need from our forums. However, you are welcome to continue to use Data393 forums I believe, but they won't be able to give you any provider level answers, those will need to come from us.
I'm still being billed for BR3000 although that package no longer exists on webhsp... Has it just been renamed and can I expect my reseller rate to go up at some point in the near future?
You will continue to be billed at your current rate for your BR account. Although Web HSP does not offer the BR accounts, customers who have them will be grandfathered. Web HSP feels our VPSes are now more cost effective than they used to be and a much better tool for resellers. They provide better privacy and more control for their accounts and get a full cPanel license, not just reseller permissions. This allows for more flexibility in what you offer your customers. The down side for some and up side for others, is that there is a bit of server management that goes along with it. Although ours are managed servers, we keep the kernels updated and the OS updated, there is the cPanel updates and services that a reseller needs to manage. Although those tasks are fairly easy with the WHM, it's a responsibility not all resellers want to take. The down side to a BR is that you are totally impacted if other resellers sites cause problems on the server. So you'll have more performance issues on a BR than on a VPS. (I know, this is not your question...I'll get off my bandwagon now)

.
...and what is this Fantastico De Luxe business? It sounds interesting but is that something I need to request or pay extra for?
Fantastico DeLuxe is basically a script installer. It's really nice, but customers still need to take responsibility for keeping their scripts updated...otherwise they can become compromised. The script installer makes keeping the scripts up to date easy through the cpanel.
We are not currently adding Fantastico to any of the old servers until we've evaluated capacity and performance. Once we update the servers and are comfortable they can handle additional scripts without impacting performance, we will most likely add Fantastico to the shared servers.
We are not sure what we are going to do on the BR servers regarding Fantastico. We will most likely get our BR resellers to help us make that decision. Because it will increase the demand on the server, we will need to cut back on the number of accounts per server even more than we are already going to do for performance reasons. This will reduce our income per server, so we may offer it for a monthly fee to BR resellers in order to keep quality performance without going into the red. This is an issue we've thought of but haven't really discussed much. So, BR resellers should be thinking about this and we'll open up a dialogue when we're at the point we need to consider this.
Not much traffic in these forums... Either everything is running so well, nobody has anything to complain about or there's nobody left to complain now that the dust seems to have settled - I sure hope it's the latter!
Yes, the forums are not too active, but I know folks are reading them because a lot of inquiries refer to information they've received from the forums. So, keep the questions coming and I'm sure the community will pick up as we continue to grow. Although we've had some run off, nothing more than is expected in a change like this. As far as running smoothly, it's all relevant I guess. The number of tickets are quite a bit lower than we expected, but some of the tickets have been difficult to resolve. Nothing out of the norm probably. We also have the typical cPanel update issues....if only cPanel provided release notes, it would help us communicate impacts. (That's one thing I really like about Plesk...they have awesome release notes). Anyway, another soap box of mine...I'll get off of it now  .
Let us know if you have more questions.
Pat
